About Ca' Foscari
Founded on August 6, 1868 as the “Scuola Superiore di Commercio” (Advanced School for Commerce), Ca’ Foscari was the first Italian institution to deal with advanced education in Business and Economics. The original main office is still found in the grand gothic palace “volta de canal” (on the bend of the Grand Canal), in the heart of Venice.
Ca’ Foscari pursues the highest quality of education and training of the person, guarantees the right of students to open and critical knowledge and proper preparation for their social and professional integration, also organising periods of study abroad for this purpose. In its pursuit of excellence in the various fields of study, Ca’Foscari promotes, guarantees and coordinates free research activities of teachers, providing the necessary tools and offering appropriate incentives.

Ca’ Foscari University of Venice is included in international rankings along with many of the best universities in the world.
