NATIONAL AND INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS – A UNIVERSITY OPEN TO THE WORLD

More than 20,000 students study at NOVA and about 20% are international, of 110 nationalities, contributing to create a multicultural environment.

The more than 559 mobility partnerships in 51 countries allow NOVA students to study abroad and guarantee the university receives around 1,100 exchange students per year.

RANKINGS

NOVA is listed in the most prestigious international rankings of universities where it consistently ranks in the TOP 10 among European universities founded less than 50 years ago.

The rankings are based on criteria such as the quality of teaching and research, the institution’s reputation, internationalization or the professional success of graduates.

TALENT ATTRACTION AND DEVELOPMENT

NOVA aims to attract, train and develop students of great talent and high potential through programmes and initiatives such as:

SUPERNOVA – Foundation Programme, a programme for students from outside the European Union who have completed high school and wish to apply for higher education in Portugal in the future.

NOVA Young Talent Awards (NYTA), an initiative that rewards the best students in the 1st year of NOVA’s Bachelor’s and Integrated Masters with a scholarship equal to the amount of the tuition fee.

NOVA Doctoral School that offers complementary and transversal training for PhD students at the University.
